The Influence of Exercise on Oxidative Stress after Spinal Cord Injury: A Narrative Review

چکیده

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is an irreversible disease resulting in partial or total loss of sensory and motor function. The pathophysiology SCI characterized by initial primary phase followed a secondary which reactive oxygen species (ROSs) associated oxidative stress play hallmark roles. Physical exercise indispensable means promoting psychophysical well-being improving quality life. It positively influences the neuromuscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, immune systems. Moreover, may provide mechanism to regulate variation equilibrium between pro-oxidants antioxidants. After brief overview spinal anatomy different types injury, purpose this review investigate evidence regarding effect on among individuals with SCI.
